Renee Davis Rhodes

This earth has lost another loving spirit. Our beloved Mother, Wife, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. Ranee unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home early November 18, 2016.  Ranee was born April 3, 1946, to Joseph Burdell Davis and Vera Adams Davis, Married in the Salt Lake temple to Edwin Ray Rhodes September 3, 1970 where she lived her life in Utah.  Ranee’s passion was helping her husband, kids and grandkids; serving many in the church, working at Fresh Market for many years and quietly helping others.  She was a hard worker who would spend her extra time making blankets, reading romance novels, coloring pages or puzzles. She made wonderful desserts and candies, and would share them with anyone willing.  When she was younger she loved to ice skate, snow ski and taught her kids to ski as well. She made Easter dresses for her girls; dolls for Christmas, or costumes for Halloween. She always had something to keep her busy.
Survived by Kids Yvonne Davis, Debbie Rhodes, Terrie Rhodes, Mechelle (James) Mounts.  Grand kids Jaysalee Haupt, Anthony Rhodes, Tyler Gunn, Kyeesha (JP) Cardona, Jennifer Rhodes, Gabe Mounts, Sienna Gunn, and Great Grandson Lenden Rhodes. Brothers and sisters Shirlene (Tom) Crowther, Boyd Davis, Janet (Karl) Mabey, Kevin (Janet) Davis.
Preceded in death by husband Edwin Ray Rhodes, as well as her parents Joseph Burdell Davis and Vera Adams Davis.
Evening viewing will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Viewing and Funeral will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Viewing from 10:00am – 10:45 am. Funeral services starting at 11:00 am.
Viewings and funeral will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.
