Raymond Hinckley Solomon, 73, died February 3, 2015. In 2014 he moved back to Salt Lake City from Arizona where he had lived the last 30 years.
He was born to Raymond Cartwright Solomon and Angeline Hinckley Solomon on October 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah in Accounting and worked as an accountant in Salt Lake City and Arizona and spent the remaining part of his career with the Arizona Tax Commission. He married Winona Ott in 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Raymond was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities. He was grateful for his callings and the many blessings he received. He and his wife were avid and professional genealogists traveling to other countries doing research for their own families and others.
Preceded him in death were his wife, his parents and his baby sister. Surviving him are his two brothers, Charles H. Solomon and David H. Solomon.
Burial services will be held in Mesa, Arizona where Raymond and Winona spent many happy years together. Thanks to all his wonderful Arizona friends that were so caring and kind to him. Memories may be shared with the family at www.holladaycottonwoodmortuary.com
