Raymond David Christensen

Raymond David Christensen, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 23, in South Jordan, UT.  Ray was born in Lyman, Utah to the parents of Paul D. Christensen and Genevieve Busenbark. He was the youngest and the last surviving of his 8 siblings.
Raymond was formerly married to Marlene Christensen and they had 12 children together; with the following living:  Steven (Sherry), Dan, Ben, Karen (Ryan), John, Michael, Matthew (Kisti), James (Vanessa), Mark (Nannette), Mary, Tim (Porsche) and 12 grandchildren.
Raymond loved his job as a master electrician and owned many other businesses on the side. He loved marathon running and arm wrestling. He enjoyed the outdoors and participated in fishing, feeding the ducks, and snow skiing. He loved playing music and listening to music. He enjoyed playing the guitar with his older brother O.W. He had a passion for antique cars especially ’65 Ford Mustangs. He loved traveling with friends and family and trying all kinds of food. His passion was attending the temple. Ray was a joy to be around and made friends instantly. He put a smile on everybody’s face. He was proud of his children and bragged about them often. He was greatly loved and he gave love in return. He will be sorely missed.
Private family services will be held at Memorial Murray Mortuary on Saturday, August 1, 2020.  He will be interred at the Murray City Cemetery.
