Ray Albert Ogden died on May 20, 2016 in Murray, Utah. He was born on September 5, 1934 in Springville Utah to Neils and Maude Ogden. He married Janet Gillespie Ogden on February 21, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Earned an eagle scout. He served a LDS mission in the British mission. He served in many church callings including Bishop, Stake President, and Patriarch. He served as President of the California Santa Rosa Mission, where he was loved and honored by the missionaries.
He loved his family and proud to say he had six daughters. He had to create a voting system to win some decisions. He loved to barbeque on every third Sunday for the entire family.
He is survived by his six daughters. Terese Engh (Mark), Sydney Atwood (Mark), Alison Partridge (Bradley), Janae Larsen (J. Eric), Amy Wimber (Mark), and Emilie Ogden. Also, survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sweetheart of 59 years, wife Janet, just a short 35 days ago. Parents Neils and Maude Ogden, Sisters Mildred Garrrett (Sherm) and Joan Ogden. Brother Neils Ogden (Sharon).
A viewing will be held at Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84121, on Wednesday May 25, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Memorial Estates Mountain View chapel at 11:00 am. With a viewing from 9:45-10:45 am prior to the service.
Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.Service Information
