Randy Lee Knott

Randy Lee Knott, 62 years old, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 17th, 1958. Randy passed away Saturday, August 21st, 2021. Son of Ronald and Geneva Knott. He never had kids, but he found the love of his life Sandra Hayward. They spent 18 years together, until she passed away on February 19th, 2018. They complimented each other, he helped her and she helped him. Their family consisted of themselves and their beloved dog Blue. Randy’s kids were his dogs. He took care of them as if they really were children. He loved to take them on walks to the park. He was extremely close to his sister Karen, he also claimed her kids, were his. He was also a biker; he loved his motorcycle. He just about went across the country with his bike. There are endless stories about him on his motorcycle. He was also a handyman. He helped everyone around him with things around the house that needed fixing. He knew how to fix leaks, patch up holes, clean up the yard, he would be the one to help the kids with a flat tire in their bike. He liked to help people. He was an amazing cook. Never had to worry about what you were eating if he was around. His favorite dish to make was spaghetti, everyone loved his spaghetti. He would prepare some of the best meals that you could ever taste. He was so social. He could make friends anywhere; he loves to talk and meet people. You could talk to him for hours; he was ready to listen or conversate.
He is survived by his mother Geneva, sister Glenda, and brother Ronnie.
He is preceded in death by his sisters Brenda and Karen, and his father Ronald. He will missed by many, but never forgotten.
A funeral service will be held on Friday 09/03/2021 at 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1250 West 1400 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84104. An evening viewing will be held Thursday 09/02/2021 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the same location. Another viewing will be held two hours prior on the day of the funeral Friday 09/03/2021 at the same location. Interment to follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
