Randall Craig Harwood

Randall Craig Harwood, age 78, passed away on April 11, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah. He was born to Harold C. Harwood and Shirley J. Harwood.

On August 7, 1970, Randy married the love of his life, Karen Kay Marinelli, and together they built a beautiful family and lasting legacy. Their home has always been a welcoming place—filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Randy had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished every moment spent camping, hunting, and fishing. He especially enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play sports, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines. Over the years, he also dedicated his time to coaching many teams, creating bonds and memories that will never be forgotten.

Some of the family’s most treasured moments with Randy were spent at Rockport, Fairview Canyon, and Snowbird. He will always be remembered at Christmas, wearing his famous golden ring and lighting up the room with his presence.

Randy served his country with pride in the 101st Airborne Division, completing 25 confirmed jumps during his military service.

He was a man who instilled the values of love, togetherness, and tradition in his family, and those values will continue to live on through the generations.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife Karen (KK); his children Chad (Kristen) and Amy (K-leb); 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Karen Waller (Tim) and many nieces and nephews: Mark, Dennis (Marie), Patsy (Tom), and Vogan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Shirley, and his sister, Judy Familar.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.

In honor of Randy’s life, if you plan to attend the viewing or funeral, please feel free to wear hunting attire, sports-related clothing, or military dress, just as he requested.
