Ramona M Ortez

Our beloved Ramona Ortez, 92, passed away on Mar. 13, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Hesperia, California on Feb. 28, 1925 the daughter of Isabel and Teresa Portillo. She married Andy Ortez and together had 12 children.
She was a teacher’s aide at Kearns Jr. High and worked many years at K-Mart, but was most fulfilled by being a homemaker and a mother to her children.She loved gardening and growing flowers, bowling, dancing, and spending time with her family. She loved attending mass, reciting her rosary and praying for her children.
She is survived by John (Debbie), Jerry, Carol, Emily, Jack, Nancie (Bill), Ray, Andrea (Scott), Tom (Jen), Jane (Dave), Sandy (Kelly), David (Michelle), numerous grandchildren, Bobby (Mary) Romero and the numerous people whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings
A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Frances Xavier 4501 W 5215 S, Kearns, UT. A viewing and rosary will take place from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, March 16 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Road. A gathering will take place one hour prior to services at the church.
