Ralph Strong

August 28, 1926 — August 31, 2014

Our kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ralph LaVell Strong, passed away August 31, 2014. He was a man who was dearly loved, and was truly an example of “enduring to the end.”
Born August 28, 1926 to Dr. W. Melvin Strong and Ruth Thorson. He married Donna Williams on December 15, 1953. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many church callings. He served in the Navy as a gunner. He attended Stewart Elementary, East High School, the University of Utah and George Washington University Law School. He was employed in the petroleum industry for 37 years. He had the fun experience of working as a volunteer for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
Survived by his wife Donna Williams Strong; three children: Jodi (Mark) Mulvey of Salt Lake City; Jonathon (Suzanne Victoria) Strong of Park City; James (Elizabeth) Strong of Superior, CO: twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with another great-grandson on the way.
