Ralph Ruiz

Ralph Ruiz, age 64, passed away on May 4, 2019 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on October 17, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Antonio Ruiz and Theresa Catala.
Ralph loved being a truck driver, and was good at what he did. During his career he transported a missile by diesel to Kennecott and was highly awarded for driving one million miles accident free. The accomplishment that meant the most to him was graduating high school.
Fishing, gambling, and gardening were some of Ralph’s favorite hobbies. He also loved to cook and was famous for all of his different types of spaghetti. He loved music and going to concerts. His favorite artist to see in concert was Dianna Ross.
Ralph is survived by his loving daughters: Jennifer Ruiz of Heber, and Breanne Ruiz of East Carbon, grandchildren: Miranda Doporto, Jayslin Ollison, Bryson Ferguson, and two great-grandchildren: Alexia and Carlos. Ralph’s siblings: Evelyn (Fernando) Casillas, Norma Mansker, Gilbert Ruiz, Leo (Eva) Ruiz, Darlene (Tommy) Brito, and Jeff (Loretta) Ruiz. Tons and tons of nieces and nephews, and his lifetime of friends.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Ruiz and Theresa Catala, and his sister, MaryAnn Ruiz.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 with a viewing one hour prior starting at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow services at the same location.
Ralph will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
