Ralph Ruhlander, 92, our dad, Papa, and father-in-law fell asleep in death on December 20, 2015. He was born January 15, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Josie O’Neill and Louis Ruhlander. He Married Beverly Elaine Strom on August 15, 1947 and they had an amazing marriage of 60 years.
He was a loyal servant of Jehovah all of his life and served in many avenues of the preaching work.
He had a very loving and easy-going personality. He loved his job at Salt Lake hardware and was very successful in sales. He loved traveling, golfing and listening to Big Band music. His love of music started at the age of five when he started playing the trumpet.
Anyone who met him instantly noticed that there was something amazing about him. He is one of the most loving and kind people. He will be greatly missed and thought of every day. We love and will miss him so much.
He is survived by daughter Lynne (John) Burningham, Son Barry (Diane) Ruhlander, and granddaughter Lori Jade. We would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and especially Robert Valencia.
Funeral services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 203 E. 5600 S. Murray, on Saturday, December 26 at 1pm.
