Ralph Keith Newbold passed away of natural causes on November 8, 2016. He was born on January 1, 1941 to Joseph and Vuelta Newbold in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served a faithful mission LDS mission and then served in the U.S. Army. He was sealed to his sweetheart Maurine Birkeland on September 22, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 38 years. He worked at the Salt Lake County Health Department for over 30 years and he loved his job.
He loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart! He showed this by his words and deeds. He was selfless, kind and humble in every way. He was always supporting his grandkids in sports, dance and other activities. In his younger years he was a hunter and a golfer. When he wasn’t serving the Lord or his family he was enjoying a good book, solving a crossword puzzle or bird watching form his favorite spot on his front porch.
He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He loved to tell jokes and make our family laugh! He was an example of Christ-like selfless love to all and he will be sorely missed!
He is survived by his wife; Maurine, sister; JoAnn (Warren) Brother-in-law Bruce, daughters; Jamie (Joshua), Jennifer (Erik), Stacey (Noi), Christine (James); Grandchildren; Adrianna, Kaiden, Presley, Tyson, Natalie, Carson, Landon and Maverick. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Vuelta , sister Sharon and grandson Brayden.
