Ralph Kanon, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was born on March 7th, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away on July 31, 2019, at the Intermountain Medical Center, surrounded by family. As a member of the LDS Church, Ralph served a mission in Holland. He then served his country in the Air Force from 1952 to 1953.
Ralph married the love of his life, Maymie, on January 18th 1952, and then they were married in the Logan Temple on July 27th, 1956. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Roloef and Helena Kanon as well as his two siblings; sister Dorothy, brother Sylvester, and daughter-in-law Diane Kanon. Ralph is survived by his wife Maymie as well as his five children, Ralph Aaron (Deniece) Kanon, John Abraham Kanon, Mary Ann Kanon, David Andrew Kanon and Steven Legrand Kanon. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and he will be sending us two great-great grandchildren that are on their way.
A viewing will be held Sunday evening August 4, 2019 from 7 to 9 PM, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 5, 2019, 11 AM with a viewing one hour prior to the service at Granger West 4th Ward, 3305 South Scottsdale Avenue, West Valley City, Utah.
