Ralph Gerald Mcnamara

March 25, 1932 — October 13, 2017

Beloved husband and father Ralph Gerald McNamara passed away peacefully on October 13, 2017 at his home in Bountiful Utah. Ralph was born March 25, 1932, in Ogden Utah to Ralph and Juanita McNamara. Mr. McNamara served in the United States Navy in the Korean War. He was a gunner on the USS Johnson DE. On January 4, 1954 he married his wife, Naomi Brady.
They moved to San Francisco where Ralph managed the Retailers Commercial Agency. After moving back to Utah, Mr. McNamara graduated from Weber State College with a BA degree in Logistics. He spent more than 30 years working at Hill Air Force Base as Logistics Manager of Munitions. Ralph served faithfully in various callings in the LDS church including ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He built RC planes, enjoyed ATV riding and golfing. Ralph was an avid reader.
Ralph is proceeded in death by his parents, Ralph and Juanita McNamara; his sisters Joan, Carol, Virginia and brother Bud.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Naomi; his sons Steve, Brent, Jeff, and Roger; his daughter Kathleen and sister Kay. He has 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the LDS church – 1825 S. 800 E. Bountiful, Utah 84010. Viewings will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 from 7:00-9:00pm and Saturday October 21, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:45am at the same location.
Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
