On July 30, 2017, at 9:28 PM heaven gained the most beautiful angel. A woman so dear and precious to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our beloved Rafaelita Trujillo Andrew was born on December 31, 1924, in Youngsville, New Mexico to Tobias and Fedelina Trujillo.
After losing her husband at a young age, Lita raised their three boys on her own, Henry, Antonio and Arthur. Lita was no stranger to hard work. She was employed for over 35 years at the Hill Haven Convalescence Center, where she was head of housekeeping.
Lita is survived by her son, Arthur (Mary) Valdez, daughter-in-law’s, Pauline and Irene Valdez; seven grandchildren Christy, Todd, Connie, Tony, Tommy, Artie and Lil Art; 32 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Adelia and Mela and many others that called her Grandma-Lita.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cristobal Valdez; sons, Henry and Antonio Valdez; parents; siblings, Kia, Ramonsita, Carlot, Walter; grandchildren, Angel Nicole, Lisa and Paul Valdez and her best friend, Molly Pacheco.
The family would like to express special thanks to Isabella for the years of care she so selflessly gave to Lita.
A Viewing will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will also take place one hour prior to services at the church.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Christian Life Center, 1055 North Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Interment following services will take place at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
