Rachel Jean Smith Casey

Rachel Jean Smith Casey was born January 17, 1941 in Provo, Utah to Fay L and Elsie Barton Smith. She passed away on June 24, 2023.
Rachel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married her love, John Casey, and instantly became a mother of five children. Rachel and John were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Rachel enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved to travel. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, cooking, quilting and hosting get togethers. She took wonderful care of her husband until his death.
Rachel is survived by her sister; Beth Smith, stepchildren; Jeffery, Pamela (Jeffrey), Michael, Sean (Shalynn), and Cory (Dawn), grandchildren; Amanda (Michael), Nathan, Samuel, Brandon, Jayna, and Connor, great-grandchildren; Abel and Atlas, and many nieces and nephews.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings; Hazel and Keith Gardner, Keith and Sharee Smith, Lois and Cleon Sheriff, and Nancy Smith.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 30 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held prior to the service on Friday, June 30 from 9:30- 11:00AM. All services will be held at Provo Parkway Stake Center, 2801 West 620 North, Provo Utah 84601
Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
