Quat Dinh Vu

Quat Dinh Vu was born on June 21, 1948 in Tinh Ninh Binh, Vietnam. He passed away peacefully on March 18, 2020 with his loving wife of forty-nine years by his side. He is survived by his wife (Mui); his children Phong (Thuy), Huy (Andrea), Tung (Phuong), Kiet (Mary Grace), and Tam; his grandchildren (Harry, Khoi, Phuong, Chuong, Thanh, and Quynh).
His passion and purpose was a better future for his family. In 1979, Quat, his pregnant wife, and four young sons fled Vietnam. Though times were difficult through the years, he kept us focused on the mission of a better life through education. He would tell and retell stories of sacrifices and hardships endured, as we were too young to remember. He provided for his family by working two jobs, learning a new language and adapting to the new world around him.
Mission accomplished, Dad! Thank you for putting us first and instilling the importance of family.
