Press “Smoky” Archuletta

Press “Smoky” Archuletta passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018. Press was born on August 28, 1929 to Julio Archuletta and Carolina Randall. Press served proudly for the Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Helen Arellano in 1951. Priscilla was their only child together. Helen passed away in 2015. Press later married Eda Boyd around 1965. They had three children, Press Jr, Patrick, and Tena and one step child, Rena Jo that they raised together. He loved to fish with Leo (whom he was always with), play pool and gambling. He was very proud of his job as a boiler maker for Kennecott. He loved to hang out with his friends at the Kearns Senior Center.
Press is survived by his children; Priscilla, Patrick, Tena, and Rena Jo, his seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way, his sibling; sister Bernie (who raised him) and brother Felix, and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by Helen and Eda, his son Press Jr, his parents, his brothers Ramond and Gilbert.
The family would like to invite you to a gathering at the Ward House, 1268 west 2320 South, West Valley City after the graveside service and final military honors.
We want to give a special thank you to Nic for the extra care given to our dad.
