Placido Ruiz-Ramirez passed away on October 13, 2024 in his home in Kearns, Utah. He was born on July 23, 1938 in Lomas Bajas, Venezuela to Froilan Ruiz and Agripina Ramirez. He married Gregoria Carmen Arellano de Ruiz.
Placido was a very giving man who loved fishing, reading, and listening to recitals of poetry. He loved to go on family trips, and was patient, outgoing, and loving. He was a business owner who loved to take care of his customers. He always gave his best to everyone. He was a very kind man with a big heart. He was known for his selflessness and charismatic personality. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
Placido is survived by his wife Carmen Arellano; children Carolina, Luzmar, Karina, Placido, and Juan Carlos; in-laws Jeraymir Izquierdo and Daylin Zarraga; grandchildren Carlos Luis, Luis David, Valeria, Nicole, Fabiana, Ashley, Carolina, and Carlos Antoniel; siblings Gricelda, Juvencio y Pascual; and the families Ruiz Zambrano and all the family Ruiz and Arellano in Venezuela.
He is preceded in death by his father Froilan Ruiz; mom Agripina Ramirez; siblings Evelio, Victor, Ana Ilba, Medardo, Carmen, Lucas, Gladys, and Celina.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family prior to services at a viewing from 12:00 to 1:45 PM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
