Phoebe Louise Braithwaite, age 87, passed away on September 23, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born January 18, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Stoddard Graves and Phoebe Malinda Patten, and she was the eldest of her eight siblings. Louise fell in love with Robert C Braithwaite, and the two were married on October 28, 1949. They were later solemnized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Manti Temple on June 9, 1967.
Louise loved to bowl and deer hunt. She also was the owner of Floral Accents for 24 years. Louise also kept herself busy while obtaining different positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She was an amazing cook, and always had enough.
Louise is survived by her children: Vickie Holt, Susan Averett, Pam (Jay) Stephens, and Doug (JoAnn) Braithwaite, 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Lamar Graves and Wallace Graves.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, two sons: Steve Braithwaite and Clint Braithwaite, brothers: Marvin Graves, Max Graves, and Gordan Graves, and sisters: Myrna Peine, and Maxine Sercomb.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Kearns 6th Ward 4260 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah, 84118 at 10:00 AM, with a viewing starting at 9:00 AM. On Friday, September 28, 2018, a viewing will be held at the same location from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
