Phillip (Lipe) Vakaikihevaha Kioa

November 7, 1984 — April 15, 2025

Phillip (Lipe) Vakaikihevaha Kioa, 1984-2025, Salt Lake City, Utah

Lipe was born to Felipe Kioa and Lauese Tauteoli on November 7th, 1984 and was called back home on April 15th, 2025 at 40 years of age. Lipe was married to Florisa Talo on February 5th, 2004 and sealed in the LDS Temple on June 20th, 2015. He has four children, Sydney Si’i, Phoenix, Cairo and Selafina.

Lipe was survived by his parents, children, and six siblings: Melissa (Viliami) Wolfgramm, Sydney (Talanoa) Tauteoli, Lotumoua (Sia) Kioa, Vika (Jay) Taavao, Susanna Kioa, and Akesa (Tj) Rector.

Lipe was a vibrant character and an artist who was full of life. He was always listening to music, rapping, break dancing, drawing, and watching anime. In 2010, he had a music album that featured his wife and friends. Lipe was always joking around and loved to make those around him laugh. He was very caring and protective of his loved ones. His most recent interests were working on bicycles and tattooing. Sadly, Lipe fell into a lifestyle that led to him losing his life.

He was a very beloved son, sibling, cousin, brother-in-law, friend, nephew, uncle, and most importantly a father. Lipe was taken too soon and his death will forever leave a hole in our hearts.

Laughter was your special gift, your humor helped our spirits lift. Even on the darkest days, you found the fun in countless ways. Practical jokes and silly puns, making life a bit more fun. Though your voice is quiet now, your joy still shows us how to find the light in shadows deep; these memories we will always keep. Your laughter rings in stories told, worth more to us than any gold. - UNKNOWN
