Philip Charles Green

February 4, 1931 — March 20, 2019

Philip Charles Green passed away peacefully March 20, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born February 4, 1931 in Birmingham, England to Walter William Edward Green and Florence Doris Evans. He married the love of his life Margaret (Shorty), on March 7, 1953, they were later sealed in the London Temple. Together they had 3 sons, Douglas (Shellie), Colin James (Debbie), and Martin Philip (Stephanee). They packed what they could in a suitcase and immigrated to the United States with their 3 young sons in 1964. Philip and Margaret have 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Phil was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many callings, including those of Bishop, High Councilor, and he spent many years in service of the youth, whom he loved dearly. Together Phil and Margaret did many humanitarian service projects, sending hundreds of hand knitted teddy bears to children all over the world. Dad loved to do genealogy and spent thousands of hours in his later years researching ancestors.  He also had a great passion for photography, but he loved working in the garden and won many awards for his floral entries at the Utah State Fair. He was honored to have served dutifully in Her Majesties Armed Forces.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sister Thelma Farrell and his brother Malcolm Green.
