Petro John Forakis

Petro John Forakis died on September 28, 2017 in Holladay, Utah at the age of 92. Pet was born in Altonah, Utah on June 5, 1925 to John and Florence Mecham Forakis. He married Veda Hoopes and they later solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple on January 7, 1947.
Petro is survived by his four children, Billie (Arden) Bendixen, Florence (Dennis) Christensen, Elaine (David) Allen, and John (Sally) Forakis; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, “Gram”.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123). A viewing will be held prior to services at 9:30AM. Interment is at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
