Penelope Leonore Cook

Penelope Leonore (Penny) Cook, passed away on August 18, 2018 at the age of 65   .  She is survived by her husband, William Cook; her daughter, SaraJane Hales; her sons, Christopher Cook, Thomas Cook.
 
I and most people who knew her looked to Penny as a source of inspiration and hope, and I remember her gift to make strangers feel like part of the family. Her’s was a bright light, witnessing the potency of her soul.
Penny had a talent for helping any who came into her orbit, and was most generally admired for her constant generosity.
As brightly she shined here, she must illuminate half of heaven. As capably as she managed the essentials of life, she must be the senior administrator in heaven.
 
Penny accomplished her dreams. Very few people see many dreams because we all have difficulty helping with another person’s dreams, and the best dreams are shared. Penny and Bill lived for the dreams of each other. Bill remains her legacy here, and I feel her present with him, I can feel her dreams still alive in him. If we need the help of others here, Penny and Bill have helped us find the meaning of life.
 
There will be a memorial service later, to be announced. That will be a celebration, when the pain of our loss is tempered by the joy of all the dreams Penny brought to us.
Memorial contributions in Penny’s name may be sent to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.  Penny supported her daughter SaraJane to be a veterinarian.  SaraJane is on her way and is currently a VetTech.
