Peggy Maurine Hailstone passed away on November 20, 2024, at 81 years old. Her final days were surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born on May 20, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar and Thelma Andreasen.
She spent many summers as a child in West Yellowstone fishing with her favorite aunt. She grew up very close with her sisters.
Peggy retired from her career at Zions Bank after many years of hard work. She was also an honorable member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she spent many faithful years serving and sharing her testimony with others.
Peggy met and married the love of her life, Darrell Gordon Hailstone in the Salt Lake City Temple on November 22, 1963. During their 61 years of marriage, Peggy dedicated her life to being the most patient, loving, kind, and caring wife. Their love for one another is everlasting.
The light of Peggy’s life is her son, Douglas Mark Hailstone. Doug meant the world to her and she always supported him. She truly looked at him as her greatest accomplishment.
Peggy had a heart of gold. She loved and adored her family more than anything. She made sure to create a special bond with each of her grandchildren.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Thelma Andreasen, her three sisters, Wanda King, Kathleen Whittle, and Karen Sessions, her brother Karl Andreasen, her granddaughter Kimberly Hailstone and many other loved ones who welcomed her to heaven.
Peggy has brought so much joy, love, and care into this world. She will always be missed and remembered by surviving family members (and their spouses). Her soulmate, Darrell Gordon Hailstone, her son Douglas Mark Hailstone, Her Grandchildren, April Hailstone, Megan Howser (Zach), Marcus Hailstone (Jauna), Cory Hailstone, Emma Hailstone, nine great-grandchildren and honorary daughter Melinda Hale (Richard). As well as many family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
