Pedro Miguel Smith

Pedro Miguel Smith was born on December 31, 1998 in Millcreek, Utah to Rebecca Smith. He passed away on December 2, 2021 in Sandy, Utah.
Since Pedro was an infant, he was a natural born fighter. He was born early, had RSV at 3 months of age and almost lost his life. He had overcome many obstacles that many people couldn’t even imagine. During all of these hard times he remained with a smile on his face and put other people’s needs and problems before his own. He loved hanging with friends, playing basketball, watching movies, listening to music and writing lyrics of his own, gaming on the Xbox and most recently playing disc golf. He had a special place in his heart for the outdoors since he was a young kid in Boy Scouts. He loved the color pink, Unicorns and anything with bling. He was a very hard worker and did receive an employee of the month award while working at Krispy Kreme. He had many dreams of traveling, including a trip to Hawaii and New York City to see the Statue of Liberty. He was looking forward to attending Firefighter school in the spring.
He is survived by his parents Luis and Rebecca Ballesteros, brother Francisco Rodriguez, grandparents Wade and Terri Smith. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and his Aunt Lynette.
His services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive. Viewings will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM and beginning at 10:00 AM the day of services all at the same location. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.
