Pearl Ilovea Iata Age 38. Died on Jan. 23, 2019, in South Jordan, Ut. She was born on February 22, 1980, in Honolulu, HI to Noataga and Pele Iata.
Pearl graduated from Waipahu High School in Hawaii and later served an 18 month Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Mission in Pocatello, Idaho. Upon returning home she served various positions in which she worked and helped local youth. Pearl loved her family and caring for them. She traveled to Washington to help care for her 90 year old grandmother. Then to Utah to help her sister with the birth of her nephew. Her parents later moved to Utah in 2007 where she also cared for them as well as her elder brother with special needs.
She is survived by her parents Noataga and Pele Iata. Her siblings Leone and Nephi Toafe, Raymond, Frank, Ernest and Deborah Iata. Her nephews Jarom and Teancum Toafe and niece Leneja Toafe.
Extended families from Hawaii, Idaho, Washington, Utah and overseas.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents on her father’s side Iata Muai and Falealii Iata Muai. Her maternal grandparents on her mother’s side Fala Maea and Rosa Fruen Lauaki and her brother Ernest Vesa Iata.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
