Paula Jensen passed away on January 13th, 2020 in Taylorsville, Utah, at the age of 61. Paula was born on January 4th, 1959 in Logan, Utah to loving parents Delmer Wilford Braegger and Jean Mary Tibbitts.
Paula was raised in Providence, Utah. She married her best friend John Kelley Jensen for eternity on August 18, 1978 in the Salt Lake City temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They eventually settled in Taylorsville, Utah and raised their four children there. She was a very talented homemaker and her home was always a place where her love and the Spirit of God could be felt. She could usually be found working in the flower and vegetable gardens that she and Kelley planted, baking, playing the piano, or sewing something for someone she loved. Her handmade gifts decorate the homes of many of her friends and family. She had a special way of welcoming everyone into her heart and home to make them feel loved. She was like a ray of sunshine and always had a smile, a hug, kind words, and a baked good to share.
Paula was happiest when she was with her family. Her husband Kelley was her constant companion throughout life and especially during her battle with brain cancer. He did everything imaginable to ease her burden, and make her happy and comfortable.
Paula loved the Lord with all her heart, might, mind, and strength. She served Him and those around her tirelessly throughout her life. She is a shining example of Christ-like kindness, patience, humility, and charity. The gospel of Jesus Christ was the foundation and inspiration in her life. She found great comfort and peace in the knowledge that her family will be together forever in heaven. Her love of the gospel will live on forever through what she and Kelley have taught their children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bruce Christian Braegger. She is survived by her husband, her four children Katie Jean Jensen, Camille Wilkinson (Kellen), Candice Jensen (Curtis), Kelley Carson Jensen (Jacqueline), and 5 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st, at 10:00 AM. An open house viewing will be held on Monday, January 20th from 6:00-8:00 PM and prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 8:30-9:45 AM. Both the viewings and the funeral service will be held at 6250 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah. Interment will follow funeral services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan Utah.Service Information
