Paul Glen Martinson

May 29, 1974 — January 30, 2017

Paul Glen Martinson, 42, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on January 30, 2017 at Promise Hospital in Salt Lake City after a valiant battle with gastric cancer.
Paul was born to Glen and Annette Martinson on May 29, 1974. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1992. He was an avid Utah Jazz fan and enjoyed playing on Junior Jazz when he was in high school. Paul was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a full-time missionary in the Roseville California Mission from July 1993 to July 1995. He also served as a Primary teacher, stake employment specialist, and scout leader. He worked at Verizon Wireless in technical support.
Paul met his eternal companion, Valerie Larson, in Sandy, Utah. On February 17, 2005, they were sealed in the Jordan River temple for time and all eternity. Their marriage stands as a pinnacle, filled with love and compassion. Over time they were blessed with two beautiful daughters who are deeply loved.
Paul excelled in writing music. His album, Cosmo Frequency Soundtrack to Life, was released in October 2013 and received the following awards: ZMR Music Awards Live Show Nominees 2014: Best New Arts, Best Chill/Grove Album, Best Electronic Album, Best New Age music debut album 2013 for the New Age Stars Radio Awards, and Clash of the Artists 2011 (Cosmo Frequency finishes 1st place in music). He received outstanding reviews from seventeen different worldwide recognized music critics.
Paul is survived by his wife, Valerie, daughters Rebecca and Alyssa, father Glen, mother Annette, sister Laura (David), grandmother Annie, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Myrtle, grandfather Paul, grandmother Betty, and grandfather Johnnie.
