Paul Edwin Deardorff

Paul E. Deardorff, age 81, passed away on January 8, 2016 in Murray, UT. He was born January 20, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT to Harry John Deardorff and Elsie Leone Sainsbury.  He married Lois Marilyn Reeves in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 8, 1955.  The two enjoyed raising two daughters, and had a loving marriage until her passing in 1998.  On July 15, 2005 Paul was married to Lois Steffensen Hulbert.  Over their ten years of marriage, they enjoyed many trips and cultural outings.
Paul was raised in Salt Lake City, UT and was a graduate of East High. He spent three years in the US Army. After graduating from the University of Utah, Paul spent his career as an electrical engineer working for Utah Power & Light Company.  Many valuable friendships were created during his working years.
Paul was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many callings. Many hours of service were devoted to work in the temple.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lois S. Deardorff, daughters Marilyn (Lynn) Ellis and Linda (John) Ellis, five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, and siblings, Betty, Carol, and Jack.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the River View 6th Ward, 288 W. River Chapel Rd., Draper, UT.  Viewings will be held Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive and at the church on Wednesday from 9:45-10:30 am. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian fund.
