Paul Cutler, beloved father, grandfather, a gentle and peaceful soul, passed away Sunday, May 11th at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Salt Lake City to Vaughn A. and Rosina P. Cutler and graduated from East High in 1945. Upon graduation he joined the Navy to serve in World War II, was discharged when the war ended, then attended and graduated from the University of Utah. Paul’s career included working for the Hotel Utah, Sweetwater Resorts, the Cottonwood Country Club, and he retired from Glen Ivy Resorts in Park City in 1993.
Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jeanne Headlee, his sister Susanne (Ben) Williams, sister-in-law Mary Headlee, and four of their five children, Becky Cutler-Gunn, Julie Conkle, David (Theresa) – Keller, TX, and Jim (Stephanie) – Seattle, WA. Their oldest son Richard passed away in October 2012. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Jennifer, Jamye, (his right-hand man), Jessica, Jonathan, Nathan, Cynthia, Paul, Marie, Annabella, June and Eric, as well as great-grandchildren Darian, Dalyce, and Taylor.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday, May 25th at Sugarhouse Garden Center (1602 E 2100 S) from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
