Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away on November 25th, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren when she passed away in the comfort of her home.
Patty was loved immensely by all who knew her. She always showed compassion and concern for her family and those who she served. Patty was a proud member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, J. Wylie Tomas camp as the chaplain, and gave “the most beautiful and heartfelt prayers” as described by Jarleen of the DUP society. She loved attending the Temple and was blessed to serve as a temple worker for 2 years.
Patty always lent an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on, especially for her 8 children who love her dearly. She would give us her heartfelt advice without judgement. She would remind us to pray always and follow the commandments to have the Holy Ghost to guide us. Patty was a loving, devoted wife to her husband of 54 years. She was a great example of love, strength and dedication to the Savior, to her family, and all who knew her. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, ceramics and all kinds of crafts. Patty was a wonderful cook and baker, always learning about health and nutrition and how to follow the Word of Wisdom. She enjoyed her knitting group, quilting group and book club. Patty loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren who range from ages 2 to 27. We love our mom more than words can express and we will truly miss her but we are grateful to know that we will meet again as an eternal family in heaven. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our mother’s friends, ward members and family who have served her in various loving ways including all the prayers throughout her lifetime and especially in the last few years.
