Pattie Brett-Keitz Monsen

September 24, 1951 — May 15, 2020

Our beloved Pattie Brett-Keitz Monsen became a free bird May 15th 2020 at the age of 68. She was born September 24th, 1951 in Salt Lake City, UT. Daughter of James and Delores Brett. Pattie grew up in Salt Lake City, where she attended both South and West High school. She married Kelly Keitz, her high school sweetheart they were later divorced. Thereafter, Pattie met and married David Monsen. All that knew her will remember how loving yet stubborn she could be. She was always ready for a good time, as long as she got to ride shotgun. She took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to surround herself with great company, and good music. Mom had a great admiration for the outdoors and was very crafty in the kitchen.  Pattie was a people person and would never hesitate to extend a helping hand to others. Our mother was a strong willed, resilient and independent woman with a personality to love. She fought a long and hard battle and has finally found peace. Mom we love you, and we’ll miss you terribly. You will always be remembered.
She is survived by her four children: Kandeece Keitz (Ted), Joseph Monsen (Cassie), Rachael Urry (Ryan), and Joshua Monsen (Kendra). Sisters, Debbie and Cristy Brett. Grandchildren: Trista (John), Adriana, Nicora, Jamen, Jaycee, Ozley, Jojo, Dominic, and Naomi. Many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by: Her parents James and Delores Brett, Kelly Keitz, David Monsen, baby boys, brother Jim Brett, and niece Shantale Brett. She was welcomed by many other friends and family members.
