Patsy Dee Cameron, 76, of Murray, Utah, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.
She was born August 21, 1941, in Bicknell, Utah, to Thomas Lloyd Baker and Dorotha Cleo Cook, both who preceded her in death. She was twice married and twice widowed; first, to loving husband, Jose Ramon Vigil, who passed away in January 1981, then to her loving late husband, John Stanton Cameron, who passed away in December 2007. Patsy leaves a legacy as a devoted wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
Family and friends were the pride and joy of Patsy’s life. She was a spiritual woman who loved and valued her role as a mother and matriarch. She enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones, and was quite social, enjoying lengthy conversations and frequent visits with family and friends.
Although her priority was being a wife, mother and homemaker, Patsy did have the pleasure of working in a few different capacities throughout her life, was well respected and built some strong friendships in the process. She was a licensed optician and worked at Cole Vision in Salt Lake City for numerous years. She had also worked for the Salt Lake City Board of Education as part of their custodial staff.
Patsy had many skills and hobbies throughout her life. She was a skilled seamstress who enjoyed designing clothing for various school fashion shows. She loved to embroider and created beautifully designed embroidered gifts for her loved ones. She participated in bowling league competitions in her early days and volunteered as a Boy Scout leader.
Patsy left behind numerous children, step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren from both of her marriages, all whom she loved very dearly.
