Patrick Samuel Iuli Peters, Jr. age 83 passed away on February 21st, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on April 2, 1941, in Suva, Fiji to Patrick Luapo Iuli Peters and Mariaha Kingdon. He married Rosa Tikeri Lilomaiava Unutoa on May 23, 1969.
Our Father Samuel has served as Bishop, Branch President, Counselor to the Bishopric, Scouts Leader, Choir Director, and the Young Adults Parents alongside with our Mother Rosa. Patrick graduated from Lehi High School, Lehi Utah. Dad was the Band Major for the Pioneer Marching Band and in Theater there. He later attended Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He was an avid tennis player who participated in the South Pacific Games.
Our Father was always full of life and laughter. He made everyone around him feel like family. He had a magnetic personality and was a man with many talents.
He was very skilled at numbers, calculations, patterns, and building, which was a big part of his position as a Foreman in the Boilermaker Union of California.
In Oxnard, California, he established an organization with Sekeli Salima, called USO, Uniting Samoans in Oxnard. It is a program for the Samoan Youth to keep busy with activities, service, and learning about the Samoan Culture and to be proud of being a Samoan.
Our Father was full of life, filled with laughter, always smiling and setting a positive tone in the room. He was an amazing baker and a competitive Tennis and Golf player. A great dancer loved to sing and enjoyed music. Passionate about his Family, his Faith, and teaching about our Samoan and Fijian culture.
When you think of Dad, you have to know empathy, compassion, love, service, laughter, leadership, and family. These are all the things that resemble our Father. These are imprinted in our hearts about him.
Thank you, Dad, for being a great man, Husband, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Friend, and Father.
We love you, Dad, till we meet again.
