Patricia P. Pitsenbarger, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. Pat was born April 22, 1931 in Newton MA to Grant and Mary (Reynolds) Palmer. Pat grew up in Weston MA and graduated from Worcester State Teachers College (now Worcester State University). Pat taught in MA for 5 years before moving to Redwood City CA where she met and married her late husband Gene A. Pitsenbarger. Pat gave up teaching for a number of years to be a homemaker and raise her two sons, but was able to rejoin the educational system as a substitute teacher in Cupertino, CA once the boys had grown. Upon Gene’s retirement in 1998, Pat quit teaching and they moved to Weed, CA where they were both active in civic matters by serving in the Weed Rotary (she served a term as secretary) and in the Weed Revitalization Committee. After Gene’s death in 2014, Pat moved to Sandy UT to be closer to her son and his family. Pat is survived by her beloved sister Nancy, her loving sons Mark (Roberta) and Glenn, her grandchildren Garrett (Elisabeth) and Kristen, and many other dear relatives and friends.
