Patricia, or Pat, loved her children dearly and supported them in their hobbies and interests. She quilted with her daughters, scrapbooked and cooked with them, as well as other various crafts. She loved crafts and passed that love along. She was an ardent booster for Amador High School Football when her boys played football. She also took them on trips with her when she could. She loved to travel and make memories with her family. Traditions such as picnics in Carmel, trips to Disneyland and making Christmas Cake became cherished family memories. She was diligent in researching her family history and passed this love to her cchildren. Sealed in the Oakland Temple, she and her husband, Dan, dreamed of serving a mission together. While they did not serve abroad in a formal mission, they served in the Jordan River Temple together. Setting an example of temple service for their posterity.
She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and missionary work. Whenever possible, she would provide meals and other support for the missionaries.
She loved to sing and performed in stake musicals. Most notably, Along the Way
and The Music Man. She encouraged her children to sing with joy and loved to hear them (even if it was not on key!).
Pat graduated from travel school and became a travel agent, working at Shield’s World Travel. She was a specialist in Hawaiian vacations.
She volunteered with Birthright in California, and with the Republican party, registering people to vote in the 1970’s. She served as a pollster in Draper.
She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
