Patricia Jean Murray Spens

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend “Pat” as we all knew her, passed away at the age of 72 on March 2, 2018 at the IMC Hospital in Murray, UT. Pat was born on March 12, 1945 in Decatur, IL her parents were Wilma and Troy Mendenall. Pat attended school in IL and later became an accountant, a job that she loved. She married her sweetheart Daryl C. Spens on May 15, 1976. She is survived by her daughter Trisha (Erik) Brown; her Step Children Wayne, Julie (Michael) Koenig and David; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Don Murray, Robert “Bob” Murray, brother-in-law Joel, Farel & Edna Spens, and her Stepson Steven. She loved arts and crafts, she was an exceptional seamstress, quilter, cook and baker. She enjoyed camping, four wheeling, boating, trips to Wendover and spending the winter in Arizona with friends. She cherished her collection of blown glass, teddy bears and gnomes and above all she loved her family, grandkids and friends with all her heart and will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held on Friday March 9, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services on Saturday morning.
