Parley Timothy

Dad passed away at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake after a long illness.
Jay was born at Whiterocks to Parley Timothy and Alice J. Timothy. He spent his early childhood living on his Grandparent’s farm at Hayden and moved with his family several times during the Depression to survive.
Jay served in the Merchant Marine during World War II and was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War and served his country again at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. He was employed by Western Pacific Railroad before and after his Army service as a Maintainer and on a maintenance gang. Jay bought a small farm with houses’ he speculated and moved to Weber County in 1969.
Jay is survived by six of his seven children and was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Afton, and his son, Mark. Jay Timothy will be cremated and entombed at Camp Williams, Utah. His final wish was that no funeral service be performed.
