Pamela Arlene Turner Wyciskalla
(Grammy Pammy)
Feb 5th 1947 – Jan 11th 2015
Pamela T. Wyciskalla passed away serenely in her home on January 11th, 2015. A beloved mother, sister, and friend who knew how to show her love through service, she was known for her humble heart, gracious spirit, and loving attitude. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was committed to teaching her children of the truths of temple attendance and obedience. We are so grateful for her example of enduring to the end.
She had a master’s degree from BYU in library science and worked her first year in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She returned to Utah and later married Jim H. Wyciskalla for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. She later divorced and committed to her family. She loved being a librarian for the Granite School District where she served for over 20 years as both a librarian and a teacher touching the lives of thousands through her love of reading.
She is survived by her siblings Elaine T. Baum, Francis T. Udall, and Ernest “Mike” Turner. Pamela’s children are Cynthia W. Frehner, mother of Ranelle Frehner, Katie Frehner, Lindsey Frehner, and Kash Frehner; Jamie W. Whittaker, wife of Brian and mother of Loree and J.D. Whittaker; and Joshua Wyciskalla. She will be reunited with her mother Lillian Lucina Blaser Turner, father Leon Hazzard Turner, sister Dorothy Ruth Turner Peterson, and brother David Leon Turner.
Our family would like to thank her many friends and family for their outpouring of love and support. We would be honored to have you join us in the celebration of her life on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Estates (3115 E. 7800 S.) in Salt Lake City, UT. Services will be conducted by Brother Doug Calder. The visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed immediately by the services and interment.
