Pamela Barnes

Pamela Oblad Wardle Barnes, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at her home on August 4, 2014. Pam was born on April 15, 1943 to Howard and Bernice Wardle in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second of six children. She met Larry Grant Barnes and was married February 29, 1964. They raised two daughters, Paige and Tina. Pam was a loving, supportive mother and involved herself into their activities. They were sealed together as a family on June 16, 1984. Pam was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many teaching positions. She spent a full life serving and loving her family and others around her. She will be greatly missed. Pam is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry; her daughters, Paige (Richard) Morgan and Tina Barnes; grandchildren, Mitch Barnes, Kelby Farnsworth, Kelsey (Detter) Dimick, Kacey Farnsworth and Isabella Barnes; great-granddaughter, Brooke Dimick; and siblings, Gary (Garda), Clifton (JoAnne), Valerie (Ted) Sproul, Shawn (Marie), and Kent Wardle. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rand. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11th, 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan North Stake Center, 3900 So. 4000 W. West Valley City. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
