Olin Arlo Hardman

November 28, 1934 — September 26, 2019

Olin Arlo Hardman was born in Hanna, Utah November 28, 1934 and passed away peacefully September 26, 2019 at home surrounded by the love of his family.
He married Darlene Higginson August 2, 1953 and they spent 63 beautiful years together.
Olin was an amazing husband to his wife, hero to his five daughters, and best friend to his grandchildren. He dedicated his life to providing for his family and teaching his daughters how to live productive and meaningful lives. He taught by example how to truly serve and love others unconditionally.
He was a man of endless talents. He loved doing everything from cutting out Valentines with his girls to welding detailed supports for major bridges across the United States. After retiring, he spent his days working on “Momma’s Park” (the yard). The yard became his sanctuary dedicated to his loving wife and place where the two of them could gather the family together for steak and mushrooms, or a family chicken fry. His talent for gardening was like everything else he put his mind to. It was perfection. Olin loved to share his harvest with family, friends and neighbors.
Olin was a friend to anyone who took the time to know him. He had a way of making people feel safe and welcome. He showed his love through hard work, service, and more hard work.
Olin loved nature and being in “God’s country”, doing what he called getting his “Pine Fix”. He enjoyed his horses and spending weeks riding the Uinta trails. Olin was a true and honest cowboy. After he could no longer ride, he put his energy into his beautiful yard. During the last part of his life, he went back to Church and spent every Tuesday doing work in the LDS temple sealing families to their loved ones. These things gave him so much joy.
Daddy said he may have cancer, but cancer didn’t have him. After winning his first battle with cancer he was with us 22 more years. This time he chose not to take treatment and so as far as we’re concerned the score is 1:1 tie game. He didn’t let cancer win.
He is Survived by his Daughters Valerie Leafty, Karen Porcelli (Tony Porcelli), Jennean Head, Charlene Swindells, Kim Jones (Aaron Jones), eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Hardman, father, Roy Hardman, mother, Emma Turner, three Sisters, six Brothers, son-in-law David Head and grandson Jordan.
