Norma Spence

October 4, 1925 — April 18, 2014

Our loving mother, grandmother and special friend to many, departed this earth, surrounded by love with her family at her side on April 18, 2014. Born in Ephraim, Utah to Andrew and Gladys Wall Thomson on October 4, 1925. Her childhood was a happy one full of family traditions, cousins and close friends. She married Ezra Spence on March 6th1945, which began their wonderful life of over 68 years together. They were blessed with four children Dianna (Craig) Howcroft, Bonnie (Scott) Johns, Alabama, Ronald Spence and John Spence, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Ezra Spence, parents, in-laws, siblings and granddaughter- Megan Howcroft. Norma has been a loving and compassionated person, confidant, and always supportive. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and has many memories working in the Relief Society. She was very talented in quilting and other crafts, many benefited from her beautiful work. Norma and Ezra took many bus trips and cruises, enjoying much of the United States and Canada. We would like to thank the staff at Aspen Ridge West Rehab for all the compassion and love that they gave to our mother. Each so willingly and kind. All Services will be held April 26, 2014, at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary & Cemeteries 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Viewing is 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following services.
