Norbertus “Bert” Doms

Norbertus “Bert” Doms passed away June 24, 2017. Bert was born March 23, 1932 in Tilberg, Holland to Norbertus and Coleta Doms. Bert married the love of his life Johanna “Ann” Viellevoye on November 10, 1956 in St. Antonli Catholic Church in Tilberg, Holland. Bert and Ann immigrated to the United States and came to Utah in 1957. Mom and Dad lived the American dream. He worked in the elevator business for many years, first Kimball Elevator, Dover Elevator and in the early 70’s he purchased Kimball Elevator with partner Eugene Russon. Dad was a member of the Rotary Club and loved taking Coleta to the yearly fathers and daughter luncheon. Dad loved spending time with his family, camping, boating and fishing at Flaming Gorge and his cabin in Taboina. Dad was preceded in death by his loving wife Ann in 2006. Bert is survived by his daughter Coleta (David) Swenson, sons Bery (Lynsey) Doms and Roger (Malinda) Doms, grandchildren Mike (Molly) Swenson, Nicole Swenson, Johnny (Laura) Doms, Jordan, Skyler and Kyle Doms, great-grandson Aylin Doms and sister Johann (Frans) Herman’s in Holland. Private graveside services for friends and family will be held.
