Noel Gerrard Bingham passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, surrounded by family who stayed at his side until a handoff to the loving family waiting to welcome him home. Noel was born in Ogden, Utah on Christmas day, December 25, 1941, to Don Reeder Bingham and Leone Rose Toone. He was their second son and almost from day one, a little terror! He couldn’t resist it if there was a hole to be dug whether that hole was in a neighbor’s yard or in his own! Pretty soon, his weary parents felt that perhaps city life was not conducive to a boy bent on mayhem, so they moved the family to Huntsville where the Bingham’s had deep roots and lots of country space to raise their family. The change of venue didn’t calm him down one little bit and Noel was soon up to as many shenanigans in the Valley as he had been in town. In school, he loved to play baseball and ski but in particular, Noel loved his cars. He always had a flashy car to drive, and he was happiest with the pedal to the medal, curly hair flying as he tore up and down both country and city streets. All roads led somewhere fast for Noel!
He married Lynette Allred and though they divorced later, they were blessed with one daughter, Wendy Bingham Keller. For his career, Noel was a successful car salesman at Bountiful Mazda giving him the daily opportunity to be around all those nice cars! He was an avid golfer and was happiest on the golf course. He played courses all up and down the Wasatch Front until one by one, his golfing buddies had all passed on. In the end, he was a regular at Mt. Ogden Golf Course where he could always walk on as a single, hitting two balls on each hole while climbing the hills and adding to his substantial golf ball collection.
He was healthy and active right up until the same Leukemia diagnosis that took his oldest brother. He was determined and upbeat, ready for a good fight but quickly found himself battling on too many fronts culminating with pneumonia. That’s when he decided it would be a good time to say his goodbyes, which he did with a clear head and a full heart. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers Gary (Ann) Bingham, and Gregg (Kaye) Bingham and his brother-in-law, Wayne (Marilyn) Barnes. He is survived by his daughter Wendy and his favorite sister, Marilyn Bingham Barnes.
