Nobue “Nancy” Aoki Sudoko

Nobue (Nancy) Aoki Sudoko, age 96, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021, in Taylorsville, Utah.
Nobue was born on March 5, 1925, in Honeyville, Utah to the late Koto Kobayashi and Koichi Aoki. She grew up in a loving family including an uncle and aunt, cousins and many friends.
She married Taro Sudoko in 1948 and they made their home in Murray, Utah.
Nobue is survived by daughters Kathy Logan and Carol (Dave) Houston; grandchildren Darren Logan, Erik Logan, Alex Houston and Chelcey (Jarred) Lieber; great grandchildren Ben Lieber and Mia Lieber; sister Kaye (Billy) Watanabe; brother-in-law Jun (May) Sudoko; nephews Randy Aoki, Larry Aoki, Bryan Watanabe, Jeff Watanabe, Richard Watanabe, Shannon Yagi, Kevin Sudoko and Tracy Sudoko.
She is preceded in death by husband Taro Sudoko, son Neil Sudoko, siblings Shige Aoki, Tosh (Michi) Aoki and Miye (Kan) Yagi.
After attending business school, she worked in Salt Lake City and in later years for Murray School District. She made many friends and had wonderful memories through activities at the Nisei Bowling League, JACL, Buddhist Church, Golden Corral Sunday breakfasts, Japanese senior citizen luncheons, Sunday outings with friends, Wendover trips, fishing trips to Panguitch Lake and Flaming Gorge, McMillan Circle, family celebrations, Olympus Ranch Retirement Community and Legacy Village in Taylorsville.
Graveside services followed by an outdoor memorial luncheon will be held on Friday, September 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery (6500 South Redwood Road). Please feel free to dress casually.
