Lana was born September 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Lorenzo and Minnie Dee Forman Hill. She passed away on May 13, 2018 at home.  Lana started employment at the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation in 1966 in the fiscal and accounting division.  She received a plaque from Governor Calvin L. Rampton in 1973 for outstanding employee.  She streamlined the procedures for boating and recreation vehicle registration and was meticulous and completed her work ahead of schedule.  After working there for 39 years, she retired in 2005.  She always had sincere concern for family members and was very generous to them. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sloane Ackman and granddaughter Trista Ackman.  She is survived by her son-in-law Gordon Ackman 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.  Family and friends will gather as one on Saturday, May 26, 2018; 1:00 pm at 821 West Fremont Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah for a celebration of her life.
