Nina Lou Chidester Dahlstrom

Nina Lou Chidester Dahlstrom, age 92, died on January 25, 2019, in Murray, Utah. She was born on September 2, 1926, in Price, Utah to Charles Ray Chidester and Winnie May Heath. She married Leif Evert Dahlstrom on November 18, 1960.
Mom lived a long, active, happy and interesting life giving service to many people. In her final years with dementia, she benefited from the service of others, specifically the IHC Hospice team, including: Bonnie, Susie, Julie, Pearson, Ana, Cynthia and Rebecca; and the Beehive Senior Care Team: Alicia, LeeAnn and Shaylee, who truly understand the principle of ministering.
Mom was busy in her life as she was employed first in San Diego in a military plane factory during WWII, she then returned to Utah where she worked for the telephone company and then for the County Library System. She loved her family and gave them 110% of her time. She and dad made sure we always had someone to turn to no matter what the need.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with an unshakeable testimony. One thing that gave her so much enjoyment in life was her music and she excelled, first with the piano, then the harp and organ. The church gave her many opportunities to share her musical abilities, especially as ward organist for many years. She served in many callings in the church in Relief Society, YW and temple worker, with dad faithfully beside her. We love you mom for your wonderful example.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Lisa Dahlstrom; son, Dennis Kay (Collette) Dahlstrom; four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Nina is preceded in death by her parents and all of her six siblings and their spouses.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the chapel on 981 East Revere Circle, Murray, UT. A viewing will also be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM on Friday, February 1, and again one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT. Condolences at www.MemorialUtah.com.Service Information
