Nikolaos Cardoso Timmins

Nikolaos Cardoso Timmins, 39, passed away at his home in Herriman, Utah on October 20, 2019. Nik was born to Ruth Bezerra Cardoso in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil on September 6, 1980. As a child he loved to explore the jungles of Brazil and play soccer in the streets. He moved to the United States at six years old after his mother married Mont Timmins, who adopted him.
On December 28, 2002 Nik married his sweetheart Sarah Renae Robinson. Together they were blessed with six beautiful children. His family meant everything to him. He loved to be actively involved with his wife and children in playing soccer, teaching Brazilian capoeira, singing musical theatre and dancing. Nik always enjoyed a Brazilian meal from his mom. He was a caring and loving son. He loved to help family and friends whenever he could. Nik was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending church with his family. He joined the Army in 2005 and served in Iraq for 13 months. Upon his return he struggled with PTSD and addiction. Through many years of support from his wife, family and treatment facilities, he was not able to overcome his disease. His family will truly miss his dance parties. Although our hearts are broken at his passing, he will live on forever in the hearts of many.
Nikolaos is survived by his parents Ruth and Mont, his stepmother Terri Lee, his wife Sarah, his children, Zoey (16), Lilly (14), Keegan (11), Simon (9), Daisy (3), Roxy (2), and his father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Vickie Robinson.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at North Crescent Stake Center, 1050 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. Viewings for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 27 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Monday prior to funeral services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.Service Information
