Olivia Mons, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. She was born to Everette and Helen Frazier on September 25, 1944, in Tunica, Mississippi. On August 25, 1967, she married the love of her life, George Kurt Mons, and together, they built a life filled with love, creativity, and family.
An artist at heart, Olivia found joy in crafts, sewing, and decorating. She was an exceptional quilt maker, generously donating many of her beautiful quilts to various causes, bringing warmth and comfort to others. Her passion for reading was boundless, and she found great fulfillment in hosting family gatherings, where her warmth and kindness created cherished memories for all who knew her.
Above all, Olivia was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She is survived by her husband, George; her son, Allen (Becka); her sister, Danna (Cecil) McDaniel; and her brother, Everette Frazier Jr (Barbara). And by five grandchildren: Bryce Mons, Hannah Mons, Quenton Mons, Misty (Michael) Reed, and Brendan Hill, and great-granddaughter Emma Reed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Everette Frazier and Helen Williams, and her beloved son, Robert Mons.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bluffdale 9th Ward building, at 14662 South 3200 West, Riverton, Utah. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her remarkable life.
Olivia’s kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
