Nathan Blackbird

Nathan Blackbird, age 32, died in Holladay, Utah, on February 11, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joe and Jean Blackbird.

Nathan lived his life with passion, energy, and a deep love for the things that brought him joy, most of all, the people who shared those moments with him.

A true thrill-seeker and adventurer, Nathan could be found skateboarding, hiking, and multiple courts and fields. He played with heart and infectious enthusiasm, whether he was teeing off on the golf course, sinking strikes at the bowling alley, or shooting hoops with his friends weekly at the rec center.

Nate was a very sociable person and a joy to be around. With his smile and contagious laugh. He knew how to brighten a room with his gift of gabb and animated personality. Nathan was life’s most precious gift.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Jean and Joe. Grandmother Emily Harden, brothers Travis Harden and Joesph Blackbird, sisters Candace Blackbird and Amy Gilpin. Uncles Fred Harden, Anthony Harden Sr., Lance Harden, Al Blackbird, Alden Grant. Aunt Lakota Harden and son Kaleb Blackbird.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Fred Harden Sr., Grandmother Florence Grant, Uncle Travis F. Harden, and Dave Blackbird. Aunts, Clara Miller, Evelyn Blackbird.

An evening viewing will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 6-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held the following day, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Murray Mortuary at 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT.

Following the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Nathan will be interned at Elysian Burial Gardens, at 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, UT.
